Hi! My name is Alexus Austin but most refer to me as Lexi and I am the Lead Coordinator for Blue Chip Leadership. I started my college career in 2015 and joined Blue Chip Leadership as a first year student. Blue Chip made the University feel like home and gave me the opportunity to connect with staff and students, building my sense of belonging on campus which was invaluable to me as a commuter first generation college student. I started working for Blue Chip as a Leadership Ambassador in 2017 and doing so helped me discover a passion that I wanted to turn into a career. As the Lead Coordinator, I oversee the Frist Year Experience and our Year 3 Experience, teach and mentor our peer mentors and student employees, support our community partnerships, and manage the operations of the program.

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelors in Psychology, minor in Sociology, and as the Heart and Soul Awardee for Blue Chip Leadership. After graduation I immediately attended Arizona State University's Tucson campus and got my Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Policy, Administration, and Community.

As a graduate of the Blue Chip Leadership Experience, I deeply value the opportunities the program provided me to learn and grow both personally and professionally, the network I built, and the leadership skills I have gained. I am excited and honored to be able to support current students as they embark on their own journey of leadership development.
