Ariana Torrejon

Starting at the University of Arizona in 2023, Ariana Torrejon serves as the Senior Coordinator for the Blue Chip Leadership Experience within the Dean of Students Office. She oversees Year 2 of Blue Chip, a four-year leadership development program that supports hundreds of students each year through coursework, events, mentoring, and experiential learning opportunities. Through her work with students, Ariana focuses on helping students develop their leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and grow in confidence as they navigate their college experience.

Ariana is passionate about teaching, leadership development, student engagement, and creating learning environments where students feel supported and encouraged to challenge themselves. As an instructor, she emphasizes the ways leadership extends beyond the classroom and into everyday interactions with friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and the broader community. Her goal is to help students connect what they learn in class to how they show up as leaders in their everyday lives.

A Tucson native, Ariana holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona, along with a Certificate in College Teaching. Her background in psychology and teaching informs her approach to student development, particularly her interest in helping students understand themselves, build connections with others, and develop the skills needed to navigate complex challenges.

Outside of work, Ariana enjoys traveling, playing video games, and spending time with her nieces and nephew. She is also a proud cat mom to Cosmos, who keeps life entertaining. Ariana is excited to continue learning alongside and supporting Blue Chip students throughout their leadership journey.
